Information About Registering for a Class
BASIC INFORMATION
The only class offered on this site is Adult Mental Health First Aid, presented in a blended format using the Zoom online platform.
The class requires participants to complete about two hours of self-paced independent work before the online portion of the course in order to be admitted to the instructor-led online portion of the class and become certified. Please choose a class date that will allow you enough time to complete your independent work before your scheduled online portion of the class. Because life is unpredictable, it's a good idea to register at least five to seven days before the online class you want to take so you have plenty of time to complete the independent pre-work. The online instructor-led part of the class is about six and a half hours, including a 30-minute lunch break and two shorter 15-minute breaks..

You will be certified in Adult MHFA for three years after completing the class and passing the short quiz at the end of the class.​

GROUP REGISTRATION
Beginning May 21, 2025, classes will be by request only for groups of 5 or more participants. Please email to request a time and date that works for your group, and also indicate the time zone your group will participate from. If your group is participating from multiple time zones, request a time zone you want the class start time to be based on. For example, if participants are in the Eastern, Mountain, and Central time zones and you want the class to start at 9:00 Central Time, please indicate that in your email.

After you request a class date and time for your group, a date will be opened up on the registration calendar for your group to complete their registration.

When registering your group, please include in the message field of the registration form the full name and email address of each participant who will be attending the training. Each participant will receive an email link to access the materials to complete the independent pre-work before the online class.

There is a maximum class size of 20 participants. If your organization needs to register more than 20 participants, you will need to split your group between two or more class dates based on how many people you need to register.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION
May 20, 2025 is the last class for which individual registration will be offered. There will no longer be open registration class dates on the calendar for individuals. However, if there is a group already registered for a class and you would like to join, you may register for that class.

PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
There will be a 10% discount off the regular cost of $95 through the end of June. Discounts are applied at checkout using the Promo Code SPRING25.

Payment is due at the time of registration and is nonrefundable. If you cannot attend the online instructor-led portion of the course you registered for, you may reschedule for another class date if there is one available. Please note, if you need to reschedule and have completed some or all of your independent pre-work before rescheduling, you will lose your progress on the pre-work and have to start over. The MHFA Connect website does not have a way to save your pre-work progress when you transfer from one class date to another.​

FIND A CLASS
To find a class that has been opened up for your group to register, please click on the "register" link below, which will bring you to a weekly calendar. Use the left/right arrows at the top of the calendar and "check next availability" buttons to scroll through the calendar until you find the class date your group has requested.
The 10% SPRING25 discount applies to any class paid for by June 30, which includes classes through December.​​​​

AFTER REGISTERING FOR A CLASS
After you register for a class on this site, your instructor will enroll you in your requested class on the MHFA Connect website with a temporary password. You will need to change your password the first time you login on MHFA Connect. Please allow up to 24 hours for your instructor to enroll you in your class. If you are not enrolled in your class on the MHFA Connect site after 24 hours, email your instructor to request that you be enrolled in your class so you can complete your independent pre-work before your scheduled online class. You cannot participate in the online instructor-led class session without completing the pre-work first.
Please change your password and begin your pre-work on the MHFA Connect site in plenty of time to complete the approximately two hours of independent pre-work before your online class. Be sure to take into account that it can take up to 24 hours for your instructor to enroll you in your class so that you can access the required independent pre-work.
